Beautiful things happen when the world gets bored!
Art is born when we get Bored!
Consider Singing as an Art, it was invented the day we got bored of Speaking! Poetry, was invented when we got bored of writing Prose. And Theatre was invented when we got bored of Transactions. Art manifests itself in our daily objects too, objects that we love and have gotten bored of.
Take Cars for example, the first modern day car was not promoted as being beautiful. It was advertised as a purely functional equipment, designed solely for the purpose of getting people around. Once that purpose was well accomplished we got bored of its functionality. We see the result of this boredom all around us.

Another classic example is the Mobile Phone. During those early days nobody would have dared to call it a work of Art. Today there is no phone that is not advertised for its beauty.

The iPhone X, when making a call is not the most important thing! |
Art is not born in an instant, but rather churned out after thoughtful and deliberate executions to undo our boredom spanning over generations. Mastery over the functional aspect of any expression or object sows the seeds for boredom and eventually Art is born! This is a continuous process and never stops and new mediums keep popping up.
Photography is one such medium. It was invented primarily to document the visual world and today we are taking more photographs than ever. We have clearly surpassed the functional threshold of photography, and we are getting bored. As expected Fineart Photography is evolving as we speak, creating a new medium of Artistic expression. Is this any less than any of the traditional art forms? No, its just new!
And at the same time Art lovers are getting bored of the traditional and collectors are slowly turning their "sights" to this new medium. And early adopters stand to gain the most if they recognise potential early on. And who knows maybe the next big story to unfold in Art investment could be hanging on your walls!
